Seven Reasons To Cleanse Your Colon In 2007
In recent years colon cleansing has become one of the mostpopular natural health topics. Colon cleansing has becomealmost popular in today's culture. Colon cleansing elementsare now standard issue in most diet "systems." Infomercialshave made cleansing and detox household terms. Hollywoodstars have known this for a long time. Losing weight andkeeping energy levels high require a quick trip to the healthspa. The first thing you do is a cleansing diet and coloncleanse. I knew about colon cleansing ten years before I actually did myfirst one. Even though I knew I needed a colon cleanse Iwaited and waited. Like so many people I was afraid to do acolon cleanse. Who needs more diarrhea anyway? That is what Ithought! If you are thinking about doing your first coloncleanse please don't wait. Here are seven good reasons to doone now. 1. When you do a colon cleanse you will most likely lose 2-5pounds within a two week period. Most of that weight will beimpacted feces containing toxins that were recirculating inyour blood and liver. Most people who do their first coloncleanse say they just feel lighter. Other people say they feelyears younger. 2. Because you eliminate toxins from your system you have moreenergy. You do not feel lethargic. Your body is not constantlyrecirculating the toxins in the blood and liver. Much of yourbody's energy is devoted to cleansing impurities via the bloodand liver. Your body makes glucose. No glucose, no energy. Your liver dumps into the colon. If the colon is not cleansedthe liver and blood can't do their jobs. Also, when thedigestive tract is cleansed it is easier for nutrients to beabsorbed. The body calls for less calories. Digestion ofthose calories takes a lot of your energy stores, especiallyafter forty. 3. Feel more clarity and focus. Many people report feelingphysically lighter and mentally sharper. I can say for surethat my long term memory improved significantly. Clarity meanspower. Indecisiveness means inaction and being lethargic. 4. Improve your immune system. More than 50 percent of theimmune system is located in or around and pertains to thedigestive system, especially the large intestine. Because youeliminate toxins your body has more energy to fight otherinvaders. Nobody is doubting that there are more toxins in ourenvironment today than fifty years ago. There are also morecases of cancers. People who cleanse on a frequent basisexperience fewer colds than they have in the past. Your liveralso helps you prevent disease. A clean colon help the liverto function better. 5. Cleansing helps decrease and eliminate cravings for saltand sugar. In my experience with cleansing I always cravefresh fruits and vegetables more so than sugar and salt. Yourbody is telling you it wants to rebuild. Less impacted fecalmatter leaves less for parasites and toxins to thrive on andadhere to. Many people also experience less depression. 6. Cleansing also helps eliminate bad breath, acne, bloating,PMS, headaches and allergy symptoms. 7. Most cleanses cost under $30. Thirty bucks for moreenergy, better immunity and healthy weight loss...what a gooddeal!About The Author: Marty Meshek is a natural energy and cleansespecialist and operates a natural healing web site filled with natural energy advice and products. http://www.EnergyForToday.com

How To Lose Weight And Enjoy Life
Copyright (c) 2007 Liz LabrumThink - RightNowhttp://www.Think-rightnow.comAre you stuck in the mental and physical loop of being overweightwhilst wanting to be slim? Do you find you're going round incircles and getting more upset, frustrated and helpless? You're not aloneMore people than ever are overweight. It is estimated that nearlytwo-thirds of the population are overweight or obese. There aremore overweight children than ever before stacking up health andself esteem problems for themselves later on in their lives. Inthe UK it is the National Health System's (NHS), priority targetto tackle the growing prevalence of obesity in the population andmillions of pounds are being pumped into the effort. If the NHS succeeded with its goal then we would all be slimmerand much more active. We wouldn't be putting life on hold whilstwe want, wish and try to be slimmer and more active. We'd all beenjoying our lives feeling confident and happy and achieving muchmore.Wishing and hoping doesn't make it come trueIn short we need to learn the skill of turning wishing andwanting something to happen in to actively making it happen. Nowthat may seem an over-simplistic and obvious statement and yet asa principle it makes such a profound difference to whether yousucceed or fail at the losing weight game. When I work with my clients it is one of the first things wetackle. Together we find out what they truly want; what they'vedone so far to get that and what they can do from now on to getwhat they want. Once this is mapped out and some simplestrategies put in place to achieve their desires my clients findit much easier to lose weight and live the life they want.Want to know how you can do the same? Follow this Five step plan, developed from working with many clients to help them get unstuckand living the life they love.1. Get clear about what you do want.So often we get stuck thinking about what it is we don't want. For example 'I don't want to feel fat and frumpy: or: 'Idon't want people to stare at me . etc, etc,. . .' Instead takea moment and use your imagination to dream what it would be liketo be that slimmer you, doing what you'd be doing. Use all yoursenses to record what that would be like. That is, what you'dsee, hear, smell and feel. Do this a few times until you get itjust how you want it. If you start getting negative thoughtsdiscipline yourself to let them go and get back on track to whatyou do want. This is important work. Now use a pen a paper andnote down what it was like and what you enjoyed about it.Particularly what was so special to you about being that you.2. Then work out a cunning Plan. Now use your mind again to imagine what it was that you did toget yourself there. What sort of things would have had to happenfor you to be that way? For example a client of mine said thatshe had felt particularly at ease with herself. So we looked atwhat would have had to have happened for her to feel that way.Her answer was that it meant she'd been taking care of herselfand needs in ways that she used to but had stopped doing. 3. Creating a mission statementNow take a leaf out of the corporate world and create yourmission statement. Successful companies and people know what theywant and use a mission statement to keep them on track. Using thework you've done above write a sentence or two to answer: Who amI and what do I want? Now keep this handy in your purse or walletand refer to it regularly to remind you and help you stay oncourse.4. Do what you like to get where you want to beIt's easy to think that we have to take care of everyone elseand leave ourselves at the bottom of the list. However this isunwise as it can lead to a sense of resentment, frustration andburn out, which means everyone loses out. You need to look afteryour needs so that you can feel positive and able to cope witheveryday demands. With my clients a simple exercise I ask them to complete is tospontaneously list 50 things that they like having or doing. Ithas to be done quickly to avoid the temptation of editing orgiving reasons why they can't be done. Then we look at acalendar or diary and commit them to real dates in the nearfuture. This means there are positive things to look forward toas well as reinforcing all the things that make life worthwhileand enjoyable.5. Your support teamThis follows neatly in the steps of the above exercise. If youfeel that it's you who does everything in your household or thatyou're overwhelmed at work then you are more than likely to befeeling resentful and frustrated. There's no reward in thisscenario and everyone's a loser especially you. Break this cycleby asking for help. If it's your job that's the source ofstress get out your job description and identify and agree withyour boss what is essential to get done and what can be delegatedor relegated. Then at home work with your partner and family on asimilar basis and agree who can do what and based on eachperson's unique strengths and qualities. Doing this breaks thefeelings of isolation and creates a healthier more real anduseful perspective. Finally - Now let your mind do the losing weight for youHaving done all that work you are now in the right place to startlosing weight. To really accelerate the process it helps to learnthe art of self-hypnosis. The hypnotic state of mind is highlyfocused and more open to suggestion.Just by turning your attention to your breathing and deciding torelax can bring you to this magical state or mind where you cansuggest to yourself how good healthy food is and how cloying andunsatisfying sweet or sugary food is. Doing this several times aday with different suggestions will make losing weight mucheasier. You will also enjoy a big bonus in that people around youwill notice how much happier you are and that you're much morefun to be with! ----------------------------------------------------------Liz Labrum Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming and hypnosis helps people who want to lose weight or break habits such as smoking. Weight Loss: A Dieter's Story
Many years ago, a well known company came out with a program which espoused incredible weight loss through the use if its delicious shakes. Many people participated in this program; and just as many people lost quite a bit of weight. The way in which this particular diet program worked was to have a shake for breakfast and lunch; and a regular meal for dinner. Not bad, right? Actually it wasn't. In addition, once the weight was lost, you could maintain the now lost weight by reducing the shakes to one a day. It even served as a late night snack. The problem with this and other diets like it is that one tends think by simply drinking this shake, nothing else is required. If you talk to any dietician, they will tell you that the first week you begin a diet, you basically lose water. Thus, the two or three poundslost are negligible. To believe a shake will transform you into the shadow of who you once were is ludicrous! Exercise along with any diet is essential to losing weight. For all the doubting Thomas' out there, here is a true story about this particular program.A forty year old woman decided to go on a diet. The shake idea seemed easy enough. Every day she would have the shake for breakfast and lunch. Dinnertime would be the only meal she would have each day. It was extremely hard in the beginning, but eventually the cravings passed and she was well on her way to her desired weight. She purchased an exercise bike which she used three times a week. On the weekends, she would go to the park and walk up to two miles on the track. Slowly but surely, she felt lighter; her clothes seemed bigger; and the scale confirmed what she knew to be true. One year to the day she began the diet, she had lost a total of sixty pounds, and several inches to boot. She treated herself to a shopping spree, and was exhilarated with her new look. She was proud of her accomplishment. The program worked. We all know dieting can be a nightmare. It can be stressful as well. With our busy lives; taking care of families; the home; working constantly, a quick diet fix seems appealing. There are consequences, however, to every diet plan one undertakes. If properly used and monitored by professionals, diet programs designed exclusively for you can work. The problem is that most people want fast results; and instant gratification. To them, the end always justifies the means. But the end, as we all know, can be just that. The next time you decide to diet, for whatever reason, ensure that you choose the proper weight loss program for you. Forget about the grandiose promises made; be realistic in your goals and you will succeed.Patricia has been interested in weight loss & fitness since the early 70's and knows the difference between hype & fact. Bodybuilding For Teens
Bodybuilding can be a very healthy and rewarding activity forteenagers for a number of reasons aside from the obviousphysical benefits. However, due to their youth and the naturalchanges occurring in their bodies, parents often wonder if thetraining regimen of a teenager needs to vary drastically fromthat of an adult? Most of the dangers relating to teenage bodybuilding actuallyhave more to do with the "teenage" portion of the equation. Noone, other than teenagers, would argue with the fact thatteenagers can behave impulsively and can be prone to ignoringthe precautions and rules they find themselves faced with. Obviously, this doesn't apply to all teenagers, but it issomething that needs to be taken into consideration. There has been a longstanding belief that heavy weightliftingcan actually stunt the growth of bones. The basis of thebelief is that heavy weight lifting can speed up growth plateclosure, prematurely stopping the bone growth. This has beensuggested, but not proven, but weight lifting at an early agecertainly hasn't stunted the growth of the many professionalathletes who started young. However, they may be exceptions tothe rule and the jury is technically still out with nodefinitive proof in either camp. Regardless, the danger is only really associated with heavyduty lifting and only occurs prior to a teenager reaching fulldevelopmental maturity. Though it obviously varies fromteenager to teenager, the average age of full developmentalmaturity is 15 and very few teenagers under that age arepumping heavy iron. A teenager shouldn't try to simply emulate the workout routinesof the adults that he or she may see at the gym. The odds arethat any adult worth emulating in the gym has been training foryears and has vast amounts of experience and training, which theteenager is lacking. While trainers are a good idea for everyone, they areespecially important for teenagers. Bad habits in weighttraining can lead to serious injuries and the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission states 12% of the annual accidentsinvolving weightlifting equipment involved children between theages of 5 and 14, and 35% involved people aged 15 - 24. A good trainer will help a teenager develop the proper form, which is critical to avoiding injury. A trainer can also helpreign in a teen who, in excitement and immature reasoning, maytry to use weights that are simply too heavy. Another danger for teenagers is the disturbing trend towardssupplement overuse. Again, this can attributed to a lack ofintellectual maturity and experience, but teenagers seemespecially prone to sucking into the mythology that supplementsare a magic key to building muscles and looking better. Despite what they may believe about their own thinkingcapacity, teenagers are especially receptive to advertisementsand magazine hype. The fact that a majority of bodybuildingmagazines are owned and published by companies who also producesupplements isn't widely known. Obviously, these companies aregoing to use the magazines they produce to push the productsthey produce.so don't believe everything you read. Realistically, teenagers are under no greater risk than adultswhile working out as long as it is done properly andintelligently. The key to ensuring that it's done this way isadult supervision and guidance.About The Author: Gray Rollins is a featured writer forMuscleProgram.
